The point of SFLindyPractica is not to have teachers and students - this is
a group effort. Therefore, the role of facilitator generally follows
some ground rules.
A facilitator:
is someone who keeps the group on track and moving forward.
is not someone who teaches.
is someone who is open to whatever direction the group
may want to take.
is not someone with an agenda of what will be discussed.
is someone who may bring material to spark group discussion.
is not someone who brings material for teaching purposes.
is aware that the group is the center of attention.
is not the focus of attention.
is interested in getting input from all participators.
is not acting as "an expert" on the material.
Because of this, anyone can act as facilitator for any theme
on any week, they just have to bring a positive spirit (and
suggesting a theme wouldn't hurt.)
